MEADOWGREEN DOG RESCUE CENTRE

Welcome to Meadowgreen Dog Rescue Centre

Meadowgreen has been established for 15 years and since July 2004 has been under new ownership. We are a family run, privately owned non-charity funded centre. Last year we rehomed over 200 dogs. We have 42 kennels and are full most of the time.

We have rescue dogs in all shapes, sizes and ages. Most of our dogs will make ideal family pets.

If you are thinking of offering a rescue dog a home you will be required to have a home check done for suitability and there are certain breeds that we require to be rehomed with people that already have experience of that breed. Unfortunately it is our policy that dogs cannot be rehomed to families with children under five, as it must be remembered that the vast majority of our dogs are rescued and therefore we have little or no history on them. All our dogs receive professional veterinary treatment when required and are vaccinated.

Our opening times are 11a.m. to 3.00p.m. six days a week - we are closed on Mondays (exc. Bank Hols) - and we are easy to find just off the A146 Norwich to Lowestoft road, approximately two miles after Loddon (heading to Lowestoft) take the right turn into Wash Lane and we are signposted from there.

We are always very pleased to see dogwalkers – a nice walk across the common can make such a difference to a dog – and dogwalking takes place between 11a.m. and 2p.m. on weekdays. Why not come along and join our happy band of volunteers.

Location and opening times

Meadowgreen is just nine miles south-east of
Norwich near Loddon and opens between 11am and 3pm every day except Mondays (open Bank Holidays).
